How it works
- 01
Photograph the item from above in daylight, with the whole object in the picture.
- 02
Pick a surface and, if you like, name a few props in plain words.
- 03
Create, compare with your photo, and reshoot on another surface or upscale for print.
A styled top-down flat lay on linen, marble, wood, concrete or paper
The flat lay is the photograph of small brands and stationery shops, of skincare and snack bars, of recipe cards and gift guides: everything seen from straight above, arranged on a surface with a few props, lit by soft daylight. Flat Lay Photo makes one from a single phone photo of your item. The object becomes the hero, placed on the surface you choose with realistic shadows where it touches, and the props are added around it with the restraint a stylist would use. The item itself is kept exactly: shape, colors, label, texture.
Five surfaces set the tone. Linen is soft and warm, Marble is clean and cool, Wood is rustic, Concrete is minimal and modern, Paper is bright and neutral. The optional Props line takes plain words — eucalyptus, a folded napkin, a brass spoon, coffee beans, reading glasses — and places them around the item without crowding it; leave it empty and the studio picks a few complementary objects on its own. Results are square, the shape most flat lays are shown in.
A run costs 4 credits at Standard, 12 at Pro and 44 at Max, and everything is saved to Your photos. Food and drink, cosmetics, jewelry, books, tech, candles and craft supplies all work well; photograph the item flat and from above for the most faithful result. Reshoot on a second surface for a seasonal set, or send the flat lay to Image Upscaler when it is going to print.
