Car Photography takes that photo and reshoots the same vehicle — identical make, model, body, paint, wheels, trim, badges, plates and decals — in a setting built for cars, with accurate reflections in the paint and glass and a shadow that sits it on the ground. Six settings and three finishes. Studio Black and Studio White are the clean catalogue looks; Showroom puts the car on a polished floor under soft panels; Mountain Road, Coastal Highway and City Night are the open-road and night shots of advertising. As Is keeps the paint exactly as photographed, Clean & Polish washes and details it, and Wet Look adds the just-rained sheen photographers use for color. Because the car is not changed, the photo still shows what a buyer will see.
