Retouching is a craft of restraint, and most one-tap beauty filters get it wrong by sanding a face into plastic. Face Retouch works the way an experienced retoucher does. Temporary blemishes — a breakout, a razor nick, a stress mark — are removed; permanent features such as moles, freckles and scars that belong to you are kept. Skin is smoothed while pores and fine texture remain visible. Under-eye shadows are softened rather than erased, eyes are gently brightened with their catchlights intact, redness is evened out and stray hairs are tidied.
The tool also corrects the frame around the face: exposure and contrast are balanced so the light looks flattering instead of flat, and the overall color is settled. Because nothing about the geometry of your face changes — no slimming, no reshaping, no enlarged eyes — the result reads as you on a good day rather than a different person. It runs on selfies, headshots, group photos and old family pictures, and it keeps the aspect ratio of whatever you upload.

Good to know
Will it remove my freckles or a scar I want to keep?
No. Freckles, moles, birthmarks and scars are treated as part of you and left alone. Only temporary marks such as pimples and small cuts are removed.
Does it slim the face or change its shape?
No. Face Retouch never alters bone structure, eye size or jawline. If you want body or shape changes, Body Reshape is a separate tool with its own controls.
Can it retouch several faces in one photo?
Yes. Every face in the frame gets the same light-handed treatment, which makes it useful for group shots and family portraits.
Why do the eyes look brighter but not different?
The tool lifts the iris and whites slightly and keeps the existing catchlights. It does not recolor the eyes or add artificial sparkle.
