Someone always blinks. Open Eyes is the fix for the otherwise-perfect photo where one person's eyes are shut or drooping at half mast. The Studio opens them naturally, keeping the eye color, shape and gaze direction that fit the face and the moment, so the person looks alert and present rather than startled. It works on one face or several, and it changes nothing else — the expression, the light, the pose and the background remain exactly as photographed.
Half-closed eyes are just as common and just as fixable: the harsh-sun squint, the flash-lag droop, the mid-laugh crease that reads as sleepy on a still frame. The tool opens them only as far as the rest of the face suggests, which is why a laughing face gets bright, crinkled eyes rather than wide-open ones. Glasses stay in place, eyelashes and makeup are kept, and the aspect ratio of the original is preserved.

Good to know
Will the eye color be right if the eyes were fully shut?
The Studio reads color cues from the face, skin and any visible iris, and from other photos of the person if you attach them in a later tool. In most cases it lands on the natural color.
Does it fix red-eye too?
It corrects red-eye and flash glare in the pupils as part of opening the eyes. For glare on glasses, use Glasses Glare Removal.
Can I open just one person's eyes in a group?
All closed or half-closed eyes in the frame are treated. People whose eyes are already open are left alone.
What if the person is deliberately squinting in a smile?
The tool respects the expression and opens the eyes only as far as a genuine smile allows, so the laugh does not turn into a stare.
